In the centre of Haxby's thriving community, Bromwich Family Butchers opened its doors in April 2022. Harry Bromwich whom is the owner started his career as a butcher at Knavesmire Butchers who he is very grateful too as he enjoyed 10 years there perfecting his trade.

‘I have always wanted to own my own shop and saw a great opportunity when the premises in Haxby became available, this enabled me to demonstrate my love for the butchery business both traditional and also allowing me to do what I love using my craft butchery skills. I always buy livestock from local markets, using local farmers for all my produce, this gives me confidence that I am getting high quality meat and enables me to support British Farming, something I feel very strongly about.

Bromwich Family Butchers was originally opened with myself (Harry) my brother James, who has now moved to new ventures, and Nathan Potter, a family friend who we have known many years through school and playing rugby together.
Nathan came to Bromwich Family Butchers with lots of skills and new ideas and is a great support to myself and the whole business.
Dawn (my mum) who helped when the shop first opened and soon became a full time member of the front of house team. She over the last couple of years has become part of the Haxby community and been front of house has allowed her to meet some fantastic people who we all now call friends.
We are all dedicated to give the best service and quality to all our retail and wholesale customers.’

‘Over the years I have expanded the business and now have some fantastic pubs and restaurants using our meat which we are very proud of, also making steps such as providing food for events and parties ranging from BBQs to hog roast sarnies’

Bromwich Family Butchers is now well known in the Haxby and surrounding areas not only for high quality meats and produce but also for excellent friendly customer service. We pride ourselves in going above and beyond for all our customers to ensure they get what they need, offering a delivery service when needed.

‘In February 2023 another opportunity came along and myself and James opened Bromwich Family Butties which is situated behind the butcher's shop in the car park, this little hidden gem offers freshly made food using produce from the butchers.
 Offering breakfast sandwiches, roast of the day, daily specials, salad bar, and cold sandwich options.
